Job Title: Specialist SEND Tutor

About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist SEND Tutor to provide tailored, one-to-one tuition to learners with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will support pupils with complex needs, barriers to learning or difficulties engaging with education.

You will adapt lessons to individual abilities, develop positive learning relationships and help pupils build confidence while working towards personalised educational targets.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with students with complex needs
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or disengaged learners
UK classroom teaching experience
A creative, patient approach and willingness to think outside the box
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learning needs

Eligibility Requirements
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS including the child barred list, ideally on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain the required clearance
Two professional references, including child-related references where applicable
