Working pattern: Supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.

Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant , you will provide practical classroom support in a mainstream or specialist setting matched to your experience.

Break teacher-planned tasks into achievable steps and encourage pupils to take part.

Support learning, communication and social interaction using the school's agreed approaches.

Help pupils prepare for transitions and follow positive classroom routines.

Work with teachers and SENCOs to review responses and share useful observations.

What We Are Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant

Relevant SEND experience through school work, childcare, care, mentoring or youth support.

A reliable SEN Teaching Assistant who responds calmly and works well as part of a team.

The ability to follow support plans and communicate safeguarding concerns appropriately.

An enhanced DBS on the update service , or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
