Job description

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join a general haulage operation in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

This established transport operation is based in the Loughborough area and works within general haulage. The role offers the opportunity to support day-to-day goods transportation from a local base, with work focused on safe, dependable and professional driving services.

Key responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
• Completing deliveries and collections in line with instructions
• Carrying out routine vehicle and load checks
• Ensuring loads are handled and secured appropriately
• Completing required paperwork and delivery records
• Following road safety, transport and site procedures
• Maintaining a professional approach when working with customers and site personnel

Skills and qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence and entitlement
• Good knowledge of safe driving and load-handling practices
• Reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work
• Ability to follow instructions and complete delivery documentation accurately
• Good communication skills and a professional manner
