Catering Assistant - Secondary School

Full-Time / Temporary Supply

Reed Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Catering Assistant to join a busy and welcoming secondary school in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with previous catering or kitchen experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the school's catering team to provide high-quality meals and excellent service to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and refreshments

Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch service periods

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene

Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas

Following food safety, health and safety, and school procedures at all times

Ensuring catering areas are organised and well-presented

Requirements

Previous experience working in a catering, kitchen, or food service environment is essential

Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices

Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Reed Education
