Whether you're a newly qualified Podiatrist looking for the perfect place to launch your career, or an experienced clinician who feels ready for something more, this could be a fantastic opportunity.
Our client is an established private clinic in the heart of Inverness, looking to welcome Podiatrists at different stages of their careers.
What particularly impressed us about this opportunity is the genuine commitment to developing people.
They're not simply looking for someone to fill appointments. They're looking for clinicians they can invest in, mentor and support as they build long-term careers within the clinic.
If you're newly qualified, you'll receive structured support to build your confidence across general Podiatry before gradually developing your skills in MSK, biomechanics, sports injuries and advanced foot and ankle practice.
If you're already an experienced Podiatrist, you'll have the opportunity to build on your existing clinical foundations, expand into more advanced MSK practice and work towards becoming one of the clinic's future Senior Practitioners.
You don't need to arrive knowing everything. A willingness to learn, a genuine passion for patient care and the right attitude are just as important.
And then there's Inverness itself!
With mountains, lochs, forests and beaches practically on your doorstep, this opportunity offers more than just career progression. It's a chance to enjoy a fantastic lifestyle in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
All About You
We're looking for friendly, motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrists who genuinely enjoy what they do and want to continue developing.
We welcome applications from:
- Newly qualified or graduate Podiatrists looking for their first permanent position
- Early-career Podiatrists wanting structured mentoring and clinical development
- Experienced Podiatrists looking to expand their MSK and advanced clinical skills
- Clinicians interested in progressing towards a future Senior Practitioner position
- Overseas-qualified Podiatrists who meet the relevant UK registration and immigration requirements
Essential:
- HCPC registration as a Podiatrist, or eligibility to obtain registration
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning and continued professional development
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to receive feedback
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
- The right to work in the UK, or eligibility for suitable sponsorship arrangements
For more experienced applicants, we'd particularly welcome:
- Two or more years' post-registration experience
- MSK or Sports Podiatry experience
- Biomechanics and gait analysis knowledge
- Orthotic assessment and prescription experience
- Foot and ankle rehabilitation skills
- Nail surgery experience
- Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound or Shockwave Therapy experience
- Previous private practice experience
Don't tick every box? That's absolutely fine!
For graduate and early-career Podiatrists, advanced MSK experience is not expected. These are skills you'll have the opportunity to develop through mentoring and training.
For experienced Podiatrists, we're equally interested in your potential and enthusiasm to progress, rather than expecting you to have mastered every specialist skill already.
What Will You Be Doing?
You'll manage a varied private Podiatry caseload appropriate to your clinical experience, with support and mentoring tailored to your development needs.
Your caseload may include:
- General Podiatry and routine foot care
- Nail and skin care, including corns and callus
- Verruca management
- Ingrowing toenail assessment and treatment
- Nail surgery, where appropriately trained
- Patient education and footwear advice
- Foot and ankle pain
- MSK and sports-related presentations
- Biomechanical and gait assessments
- Orthotic assessment and prescription
- Foot and ankle rehabilitation
- Shockwave Therapy
As your confidence, skills and experience develop, you'll have opportunities to become involved in more advanced clinical work, including Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound, specialist biomechanics and rehabilitation.
The clinic places real importance on giving patients appropriate time for thorough assessment, education and treatment, rather than simply moving from one appointment to the next.
Whether you're starting your career or bringing several years of experience, your caseload and responsibilities will reflect your capabilities, with opportunities to progress.
Working Hours and Environment
This is a full-time, permanently employed position, although our client genuinely values flexibility and is happy to discuss individual circumstances.
The ideal start date is around early 2027, allowing time to plan a suitable induction and development programme. However, an earlier or later start may be considered for the right candidate, particularly around graduation, notice periods or relocation.
Typical clinic hours are:
- Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30am / 9:00am to 5:00pm / 5:30pm
- Around one Saturday morning per month
- No routine evening clinics
The clinic is centrally located in Inverness, with modern facilities, advanced clinical technology and excellent reception support.
Driving isn't essential.
For candidates considering relocation, support is available to help make the move easier, including potential assistance towards initial accommodation costs and practical local advice.
Salary and Career Progression
Our client is open to Podiatrists at different stages of their careers, with salaries reflecting clinical experience and capabilities.
Graduate / Early-Career Podiatrists: £38,000-£39,000 DOE
Ideal for newly qualified Podiatrists or those with approximately two years' experience or less, looking for structured mentoring, confidence-building and a clear development pathway.
Experienced Podiatrists: £45,000-£55,000 DOE
For clinicians with established Podiatry foundations who are ready to develop further into MSK, biomechanics, advanced foot and ankle practice and potentially future senior clinical responsibilities.
Reaching Your Potential
This is where this opportunity really stands apart.
You'll work alongside an experienced clinician with specialist expertise across MSK Podiatry, sports injuries, biomechanics, gait analysis, Diagnostic Ultrasound and foot and ankle rehabilitation.
Development is tailored to your starting point.
For graduates, that means building strong clinical foundations, developing confidence and gradually introducing more specialist skills.
For experienced clinicians, it means opportunities to deepen your expertise, access advanced technology and undertake funded postgraduate development.
You'll have access to equipment and technology including Run3D gait analysis, Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound, Shockwave Therapy, rehabilitation equipment and orthotic assessment technology.
As your experience progresses, there's also scope to explore advanced areas such as Injection Therapy and Independent Prescribing, subject to appropriate training, qualifications and professional requirements.
The longer-term ambition is to develop talented clinicians into the clinic's future Senior Practitioners, giving you the opportunity to grow professionally and potentially play a part in shaping the future of the business.
Our client isn't looking for a quick fix. They're looking for Podiatrists who want to build something for the long term.
