Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Day Driver to join our long-established customer based in the West Bromwich area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver looking for ongoing, stable work with a professional logistics operation that values and supports its drivers.

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday
£16.00 per hour PAYE
£17.93 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Saturday
£17.00 per hour PAYE
£19.05 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Sunday / Bank Holidays
£18.00 per hour PAYE
£20.17 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method for this vacancy.

About the Role

As a Class 2 Day Driver , you will be delivering food products to commercial customers across the region alongside a driver's mate. This is a busy and rewarding role within the food distribution industry, offering ongoing work, excellent support and the opportunity to become part of a well-established transport operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Completing between 5 and 12 deliveries per shift
Delivering food products to businesses and commercial customers
Working alongside a driver's mate
Loading and unloading goods as required
Handball and physical delivery work
Obtaining proof of delivery using electronic POD devices
Completing delivery paperwork accurately
Conducting daily vehicle checks
Adhering to all transport, road safety and driver regulations

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday
Weekend work available on an optional basis
Start times typically between 06:00 and 08:00
Flexible start times often available
Shift lengths between 8 and 12 hours
Ongoing long-term work

Requirements

Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good communication skills
Ability to complete delivery paperwork accurately
Comfortable with manual handling and handball duties
Reliable and professional approach to work
