HGV Class 2 Driver Location: Leyland Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour Job Type: Temp to Perm Salary: £38,000 per annum, increasing to £38,900 upon successful completion of probation, plus the opportunity to earn a £2,000 annual bonus.
Job Overview We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Leyland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation on a temp-to-perm basis, with the potential for long-term, permanent employment.
We welcome applications from both experienced drivers and newly qualified drivers looking to gain valuable experience in the industry.
Working Hours 45 hours per week.

Start times between 6:00am and 8:00am.

Finish times typically between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

Rotational Saturdays:
Week 1: Monday to Friday.

Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday.

Pay and Benefits £16.00 per hour.

Starting salary of £38,000 per annum.

Salary increase to £38,900 following successful completion of probation.

Opportunity to earn an additional £2,000 annual bonus.

Temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.

Complete deliveries and collections as required.

Carry out manual handling duties as part of the role.

Ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.

Comply with all road safety regulations and drivers' hours legislation.

Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.

Requirements Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.

Valid Driver CPC card.

Valid digital tachograph card.

Good understanding of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.

Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.

Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
