Pay: £15.50 to £16.00 per hour

A wholesale business in Stockton-on-Tees is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support its delivery operation. This is a temporary daytime opportunity, with the possibility of permanent employment for the right person.

The role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your main responsibilities will include:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically making more than 10 drops per shift
• Driving safely and responsibly while following all relevant legal requirements
• Carrying out vehicle checks before, during and after shifts
• Loading, securing and unloading goods safely
• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery
• Providing a professional and courteous service at each stop
• Reporting any delivery, vehicle or operational issues promptly

About you

You should have:

• A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
• Relevant multi-drop delivery experience, ideally completing over 10 drops
• Good knowledge of safe driving and vehicle checks
• The ability to work independently and manage a planned delivery schedule
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, punctual and flexible approach
• The ability to meet the physical demands of loading and unloading deliveries
