Pay: £17.22 to £18.00 per hour

Shifts: Days - Saturday to Tuesday

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy operation in Evesham. This is a permanent opportunity offering regular daytime work, a minimum of 8 hours paid per shift and the chance to earn more through overtime.

About the company

The employer is an established waste management and recycling organisation operating across Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Its activities include the collection, sorting, recovery and treatment of household waste, alongside recycling facilities, composting, waste transfer and energy recovery, with a focus on reducing landfill. The number of drops is roughly 5-6 collections a day with a small amount of handball involved.

The role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your main responsibilities will include:

• Completing retail store deliveries safely and on time
• Carrying out handball duties when required
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Securing loads and following safe loading and unloading procedures
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Following road safety, site safety and company procedures
• Providing professional service at delivery locations

Skills and qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph experience
• xohmjla Previous experience with retail store deliveries
• Comfortable carrying out handball work
• Good knowledge of UK roads and delivery procedures
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach
• Clear communication skills and a professional manner
