HGV Class 2 Driver - Warrington, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver based in Warrington, Cheshire to join our well-established client.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, paid breaks, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £17.30 per hour (standard 48 hours)
• £24.89 per hour (overtime after 48 hours)
• Minimum of twelve hours paid per shift
• All breaks fully paid
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Working five days out of seven, including some weekend working
• AM shifts with start times between 01:00 and 04:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing six to seven product deliveries to stores across the UK each day
• Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures throughout the journey
• Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting any customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of six months' experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability

Training:

• First-day assessment
• Two weeks of training alongside an experienced permanent team member
• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
