7.5 Tonne Driver - Edinburgh

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Edinburgh (EH7).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join a busy cash and carry operation, completing multi-drop deliveries to customers across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Category C1 Driver, Lorry Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £17.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 start
• Finish times dependent on deliveries

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver are:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries for a busy cash and carry operation
• Delivering goods to commercial customers
• Loading and unloading the vehicle
• Checking orders against delivery paperwork
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Completing all required delivery paperwork
• Providing professional customer service
• Following all road safety and company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C1 driving licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous 7.5 Tonne driving experience
• Previous multi-drop experience preferred
• Comfortable conducting manual handling
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Good knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas would be beneficial

Training:

• Full paid site induction provided
• Ongoing support and training
