HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Leyland
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: £38,000 per annum, increasing to £38,900 upon successful completion of probation, plus the opportunity to earn a £2,000 annual bonus.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Leyland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation on a temp-to-perm basis, with the potential for long-term, permanent employment.

We welcome applications from both experienced drivers and newly qualified drivers looking to gain valuable experience in the industry.

Working Hours

• 45 hours per week.
• Start times between 6:00am and 8:00am.
• Finish times typically between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.
• Rotational Saturdays:
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday.
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday.

Pay and Benefits

• £16.00 per hour.
• Starting salary of £38,000 per annum.
• Salary increase to £38,900 following successful completion of probation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.
• Complete deliveries and collections as required.
• Carry out manual handling duties as part of the role.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and drivers' hours legislation.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC card.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Good understanding of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
