HGV Class 2 Driver – Alfreton, Derbyshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire .

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.
Important: A minimum of two years' HGV Class 2 driving experience is essential.
Shifts

• 24-hour operation

• Long-term opportunities for the right candidate Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Safely operating HGV Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Completing loading and unloading tasks safely and accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects to management
• Adhering to road traffic legislation and road safety regulations
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff
• Following company procedures and transport compliance requirements Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum two years' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD driving endorsement codes
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of road safety and transport compliance Desirable

Experience

• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience working within a busy transport or distribution environment Training Provided
