About the Role
Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Day Drivers for a well-established client based in Huddersfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular weekday work with ongoing opportunities available. The role involves completing local multi-drop deliveries and collections of palletised goods to commercial premises, farms and residential addresses.
Drivers will typically complete up to 15 deliveries and collections per shift , using a tail lift and electric pump truck to unload palletised goods. This is a local role with no long-distance work, making it ideal for drivers who prefer returning home each day.
Key Responsibilities
Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
Deliver palletised goods to commercial, agricultural and residential customers
Operate a tail lift and electric pump truck
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
Complete delivery paperwork accurately
Provide excellent customer service at every delivery and collection
Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
Requirements
Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence held for at least 12 months
Recent Class 2 driving experience within the last 6–12 months
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
Confident using a tail lift and electric pump truck
Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
