Accountant London Permanent £45-50k This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategic advisory firm with a global reach. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will take full ownership of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. This role will suit someone with hands-on accounts experience who wants ownership across all three areas rather than a single ledger.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Process supplier invoices and manage the accounts payable ledger, including payment runs and supplier queries
• Raise client invoices and manage accounts receivable, including credit control and following up outstanding payments
• Run monthly payroll for UK staff, including PAYE, pension contributions and statutory payments
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Support month end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero
• Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings
• Respond to queries from staff, suppliers and clients on invoices and payments
• Support the wider finance team on ad-hoc projects and process improvements

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts role
• Solid experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Experience with Xero preferred
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
• Clear communicator, confident raising queries with suppliers, clients and colleagues
• AAT qualification, or working towards a relevant accounting qualification, is an advantage but not essential
