Senior Reporter

Between £40,000 and £65,000 Per Month

Job description

Join an award-winning newsroom at an established private markets intelligence group as a senior reporter focusing on breaking deals in the real estate market. You will own a beat, with the autonomy to build relationships with senior investors and advisers. More specifically, you will focus on capital deployment. You will be expected to produce 2-3 news stories a day, covering a mix of press releases and proprietary exclusives.

You will be joining a business with a large international footprint that encompasses deal news, a proprietary transactions database and a global events programme. The business is looking to invest in new areas of coverage, and you will be joining at a time when the private real estate market is recovering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Break news on real estate deals and capital deployment
  • Own a beat and manage a contact book across investors, managers and advisers
  • Investigate and write analysis on dealmaking trends
  • Use proprietary deal data to find and support stories
  • Contribute to events and the wider editorial platform

Key Requirements

  • Background covering real estate transactions, as a journalist or from a deal-side role
  • Record of breaking stories and strong news judgement
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, with an existing network across real estate investors, managers and advisers a plus
  • Fast, accurate copy under deadline

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as the employer does not offer visa sponsorship

Everyone who applies will receive a response within one week.
