Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dual-role position as a Driver Mate and Warehouse Operative at our Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD) .

You will work closely with the transport team to support GXO Logistics in fulfilling its responsibilities for the distribution of Greene King products. In addition, you will provide support across the warehouse operation as required, ensuring the site runs efficiently and operational needs are met.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working 46 hours per week, Monday to Friday on the early shift, from 05:00 to 14:15.

What you'll do on a typical day:

Loading and unloading vehicle

Assist throughout the delivery and collection process

Carry out tasks/ reasonable requests as required

Be responsible for reporting issues to customer care

Take ownership of paperwork

Support the driver with navigation as required

Work as a banksman when required

Support depot with the off-loading and stowing of empty containers

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience as a Driver Mate or similar desirable

Flexible approach to work

Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability

Commitment to Health & Safety and maintaining operational standards
