The employer is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join its transport operation in Sheffield. This is a permanent, days-based role offering consistent work and weekly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Completing local and regional deliveries in line with schedules
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
• Loading, securing and unloading goods safely
• Completing delivery paperwork and using relevant transport documentation
• Providing professional service when dealing with customers and delivery points
• Following road safety, transport and workplace procedures at all times

Skills and qualifications

• Relevant HGV Class 2 driving entitlement
• Required legal driving documentation for professional goods vehicle driving
• A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving
• Good time-management and route-planning skills
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading duties where required
• Previous HGV Class 2 or general haulage experience would be useful
