Reeson Education is inviting candidates to join its Higher Level Teaching Assistant talent pool in Winchester for primary PPA cover and intervention work. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will deliver planned learning with greater classroom responsibility while supporting pupil progress. Role Details

• Location: Winchester, Hampshire
• Pay: £100-£120 per day
• Start: ASAP, subject to registration and safeguarding checks
• Setting: Primary schools, KS1 and KS2
• Contract: Flexible daily and short-term supply

Leading Planned Learning

• A Higher Level Teaching Assistant will lead teacher-planned lessons or group activities where authorised
• The Higher Level Teaching Assistant may provide whole-class PPA cover, maintaining clear school routines
• As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will run targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
• An effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant can monitor understanding and share assessment feedback with permanent teachers
• Use positive behaviour strategies and follow safeguarding and school procedures.

What We're Looking For in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• HLTA status, previous higher-level classroom support, or substantial experience leading learning and providing appropriate class cover for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum and intervention delivery.
• Strong organisation, communication and classroom management.
• Reliability and safeguarding awareness across different school settings.
