Freight Forwarding Internal Sales Executive

Stanford-le-Hope | £35,000 + bonus
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Based in a modern Stanford-le-Hope office, you'll help turn customer enquiries into business, build relationships and work with colleagues across an international network. The role

You'll support new business development and existing customer relationships, working closely with sales, pricing and operations to deliver competitive freight solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responding to enquiries and preparing freight quotations

Following up on quotes, gathering feedback and converting opportunities

Contacting prospective customers to understand their shipping requirements

Building relationships with existing accounts and identifying further opportunities

Sourcing rates from colleagues, overseas partners and suppliers

Supporting the external sales team with proposals and customer information

Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity

Working with operations to ensure a smooth handover of secured business

About you

Experience within freight forwarding, ideally in internal sales, pricing or customer service

Candidates with operational experience and an interest in sales are also welcome

A confident telephone manner and strong relationship-building skills

Commercial awareness and confidence discussing rates and quotations

Good organisation and attention to detail

A proactive approach to following up opportunities

Enthusiasm to learn and progress within a global business
