Job description
About the role Our Client is a [logistics / distribution] business moving goods for major retailers and manufacturers across the UK. We need experienced Class 1 drivers to deliver safely and on time.
What you will do
- Drive Class 1 articulated vehicles on [trunking / multi-drop / tramping] routes
- Carry out daily vehicle walk-round checks and report defects
- Load, secure and deliver goods safely and on schedule
- Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices
- Follow drivers' hours rules and tachograph regulations
- Represent the company professionally with customers
What you need
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- At least 6–12 months of Class 1 experience
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Good knowledge of UK road networks
Nice to have
- ADR certificate
- Moffett or forklift licence
- Experience with curtain-siders, fridges or double-deck trailers
