Delivery Driver - Gateshead

Job description

Ocado Logistics: Be the Angel of the South Bank
We're looking for canny locals to join our new Gateshead site this summer – people who get that a doorstep delivery of bacon, eggs, and tea isn''t just a job; it's a public service.
Forget the city grind. Trading the commute for a local career means more time for what matters. We offer proper Gateshead graft with stable shifts and all the gear to keep you in the driving seat of your own career.
Exciting news for our newest recruits! You''ll kick off your training at our brand-new site from 29th June.
Packed with possibilities:
Being one of Gateshead's Angels deserves epic rewards! Because customers need their groceries at all hours, your shifts will include evenings and weekends, on top of weekdays. But don''t worry, these aren''t just any shifts – you'll be paid £13.14 per hour with the opportunity to earn overtime at time and quarter plus Paid Breaks.
Beyond a safe working environment, which is a given for our champions, we offer a shopping list of perks you can tailor to your lifestyle:
A company pension of up to 7% matched contributions – and even after just 3 months with us
An enhanced digital health and wellbeing service, that includes virtual GP appointments, for you and any of your dependents
Hundreds of high street shopping, entertainment and restaurant discounts
Life insurance coverage that begins on day one of your employment
15% off your weekly shop with Ocado.com
Loads more voluntary benefits such as dental and travel insurance at a discounted price

It doesn''t stop there and neither will your progression – if you suddenly decide that being an Angel of the Sunday spread isn't for you, there's plenty of opportunity across the business, as 87% of our salaried roles are filled by internal colleagues!
So, what do we need from you?
You don't need a pair of wings or even previous delivery experience – just your awesome self and a positive attitude! Our training team will equip you with the local know-how to become a neighbourhood hero.
However, it goes without saying you will need some es...
