SEN Teaching Assistant | Winchester | Flexible SEND Supply | £80-£100 per day | ASAP Start

Reeson Education is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for flexible supply work across schools in Winchester, Hampshire. This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone with SEND experience or strong transferable experience who wants to choose their available working days while supporting pupils across mainstream and specialist settings.

What You'll Be Doing

A SEN Teaching Assistant may provide 1:1 support for pupils with individual learning needs.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will reinforce differentiated activities and teacher-planned learning.
A SEN Teaching Assistant may work with pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or learning difficulties.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will support communication, emotional regulation, positive behaviour and classroom routines.
Encourage pupils to participate in learning while developing greater confidence and independence.
Follow EHCP targets and individual support strategies where relevant.
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff and share relevant observations at the end of each booking.

What We're Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, school support or SEND experience, or credible transferable experience from childcare, youth work, mentoring, tutoring, care or behaviour support.
Confidence supporting children or young people with additional needs.
Patient, reliable and able to adapt quickly to different schools and pupils.
Clear communication and appropriate professional boundaries.
Strong safeguarding awareness.
