PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT - LEICESTER

Setting: SEMH Specialist Provision

We are working with an education provider to recruit a dedicated, compassionate and resilient Personal Care Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Leicester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to helping young people overcome barriers, develop independence and thrive in a supportive educational environment.

The Role:

Providing personal care and practical support to pupils with complex needs.

Supporting students with their emotional, social and physical wellbeing.

Promoting independence, dignity and confidence.

Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Working closely with teaching staff and the wider support team.

Supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviours, using a calm, patient and consistent approach.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with individuals with complex needs is essential.

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.

A caring, patient and resilient nature.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
