Retail Sales Assistants, Arts & Heritage, London, £14.80 p/h plus holiday pay accrual

High profile Museum in West London requires reliable Retail Sales Assistants for temporary shifts. These shifts can be weekdays or weekends and between 4 hours and 8 hours long.

The main duties of the Retail Sales Assistant role are:

Welcome and positively engage every customer

Maintain visual merchandising standards across the shop

Help exceed all retail sales targets

Fully answer customer enquiries in a calm, professional manner, calling on support of the management team when appropriate

Take pride in one's appearance and personal presentation

Operate the EPOS system in a secure and efficient manner

Work as part of a team in a positive manner

Responsible for health and safety and welfare of staff and customers, ensuring compliance with policies

Conduct regular stocktakes

Assist with deliveries

Ensure that the shop is kept clean and tidy, and that stock is regularly replenished

Skills and experience

Experience of working in a retail environment, or similar

Confidence and ability to proactively sell in very busy environments and exceed target

Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering great customer service

Good visual merchandising skills and excellent recall of product knowledge

Flexible approach to a range of retail tasks, e.g. Fulfilling online orders and stockroom duties

Team-spirited
