Restaurant Manager (NO EVENINGS!) - Café & Hospitality | Newbury

Restaurant Manager - About the Role:

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the café and restaurant operation, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and an outstanding dining experience.

You will lead both front-of-house and kitchen teams, drive operational standards, manage stock and staffing, and support the commercial success of the business.

Restaurant Manager - Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day running of the café and restaurant

Lead, motivate, and develop the hospitality team

Ensure outstanding customer service at all times

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness

Manage stock ordering, stock control, and minimise wastage

Prepare staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels

Monitor performance against sales and profitability targets

Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and company policies

Support seasonal promotions, events, and business growth initiatives

Restaurant Manager - Requirements:

Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality management role

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Experience in stock control, budgets, and commercial performance

Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and busy trading periods

A full valid driving licence and access to your own car are absolutely essential for this role
