Hygiene Operative

Location: Ripon, Onsite
Hours: 4:00pm - 1:00am (40 paid hours a week)
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour - Equivalent to £27,040 annual salary
Contract: Temporary with ongoing opportunities

We are currently recruiting for 2 Hygiene Operatives to join a busy food production facility in Ripon.

Working as part of the hygiene team, you will play a vital role in ensuring production areas are cleaned and prepared for the next day's operations. This is a physically active role suited to candidates who take pride in maintaining high standards and are comfortable working within a food manufacturing environment.

Full training will be provided, so previous hygiene experience is not essential.

Duties Include

Cleaning production areas following the end of each shift.

Jet washing floors, equipment and workstations.

Removing food waste and debris from production areas.

Sanitising machinery and surfaces in line with food safety standards.

Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard.

Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Using cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.

Assisting with general housekeeping duties across the site.

Ability to follow instructions and cleaning procedures.

Previous cleaning, hygiene or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a food production environment.

Working Environment

Food manufacturing facility.

Evening shift working 4:00pm - 1:00am.

Protective clothing and safety equipment provided.
