An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic registered nurse to join the Diabetes & Endocrinology department in Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a Staff Nurse within Ward 3. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC.
In this role you will work within the multidiscipline team in the field of Diabetes Endocrinology / General medical nursing, promoting a patient centered care experience.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will have the responsibility for ensuring the assessment of and implementation of patient centered, safe, quality care. You will have a key role in the multidisciplinary team and utilise all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, and significant others. You will empower patients to take responsibility for their health, well-being and future lifestyle by practicing in an open, transparent and inclusive manner; thereby ensuring patients have the relevant information to participate in decisions about their care.
As part of this team your continuing development is forefront. Access to further education and leadership development, with internal support with vocational modules via S.V.Q scheme and yearly grants available for conference contributions or Master programs. There is a robust career structure within Medical wards of North G.G. &.C. Opportunities to develop wider leadership skills will continue through this post. You will be part of the medical services team working within sector targets and budgets associated with this department.
The shift pattern for this post is full rotational 7 days/nights.
