Assistant Purchasing Officer - Procurement in Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Purchasing Officer to join the Procurement Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
This is a 6 month fixed term post, 37.5hours worked over Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The post holder will assist in the delivery of the effective and timely processing and procurement of order requests for relevant suppliers and services within Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Duties will include tactical and transactional support within the Procurement Department including purchasing activity within general and medical categories, tactical buying and purchase to pay compliance.
Applicants must possess
- excellent computer, communication and organisational skills, along with good time management skills.
- relevant qualification or qualifications equivalent to Level 4 or higher, on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) - such as National Certificate, HNC, SVQ Level 2 and
- a CIPS Diploma in Procurement & Supply (CIPS Level 2) or equivalent or significant relevant experience in Procurement and supply chain environment. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
