Trainee Clinical Physiologist - Cardiology in Glasgow Royal Infirmary/Stobhill Hospital

The post holder is responsible for assisting in the provision of a high quality diagnostic service to patients who attend the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Hospitals Infirmary. The post holder supports the clinical decision making of medical staff by providing essential information through recording electrocardiographs (ECG). The main purpose of Electrocardiographs is to help with diagnosis of symptoms and allow medical staff to make clinical decisions to improve patient’s health if possible. The post holder is also trained to fit all monitors and scans ambulatory ECG monitors, selecting strips that will be included in the report. This is a trainee post and involves an underpinning of ECG knowledge that can be used in more complex tests when this has been achieved. The trainee will train to carry out Exercise Tolerance Tests but will always be supervised.
