The ACS has recently undergone major refurbishment of laboratory facilities, outpatients and clinical treatment suite and re-opened in September 2014. The new facilities provide state of the art equipment and a comprehensive range of clinical techniques, offering a high standard of treatment tailored to suit individual patient needs.
The post holder will join a team of dedicated embryologists and under supervision of the Consultant Clinical Embryologist is responsible for supporting the embryology team with: data input and reporting, specimen reception, and witnessing the identification of samples and patients during laboratory processes. The Embryology Practitioner will have the necessary expertise in applied scientific techniques within a related Biological Science, to work within a clearly defined technical role in the delivery and reporting of quality assured investigations and interventions for patients, samples and equipment, such as oocyte retrieval, preparation of semen samples for patient treatment and preparation of culture systems, within the regulations defined by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority.
A recognised Life Sciences degree and experience working within an IVF laboratory are essential for this post.
The shift pattern for this post is 5/7 Monday-Sunday
