Church Student Intern in London

What are you going to do:
Gracemass Church is looking for a part time student intern for 3 hours a week on a Sunday afternoon (3.30pm to 6.30pm).
We are an “Inclusive Anglo-Catholic Charismatic Church plant”. Or in English: we are a “best of both” church combining ancient symbols and sacraments with contemporary worship songs and an openness to God acting today. We are inclusive welcoming and fully including women and men, straight and gay and people of the many nationalities who make up London. We are a new church who spent our first year meeting in a pub but now meet in another Church’s building in Westminster.
- -You will help with practical things like setting up for and clearing up after the mass.
- -You will help lead the musical side of our worship.
- You will help us reach out to, bring in, and welcome students.
- -You will be given opportunities to learn to preach sermons.
- - After mass at the pub next door you will chat with fellow worshippers and particularly make newcomers and other students feel welcome.

What we ask:
- You should be registered as a university student
- You are a believing Christian.
- You are sociable: good at meeting new people and making them feel at ease.
- You play the guitar or keyboard.
- You are creative and will come up with new ideas to develop and grow our church.
- You may have had previous experience of public speaking.
- You are willing to learn.
- You will undergo an enhanced DBS.

- You are currently an undergraduate at a university in London.
- Available every Sunday afternoon in university term time.
- There is a genuine occupational requirement that you are a believing Christian. You may come from ANY Christian tradition or denomination but you should be comfortable working in a church like ours.

- You are a sociable person comfortable talking with people you have not met before and making them feel at ease.
