The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the in-house recruitment team at EY, finding future talent that will enable EY to deliver our strategy. You will manage pipelines, events and relationships offering an exceptional candidate experience at all stages. You will also work closely with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to execute and deliver the strategy. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities: 
The Student Talent Attraction & Acquisition team are responsible for attracting the best and most diverse candidates to the firm’s school, work experience and graduate programmes across the UK.  We are looking for someone who can work autonomously with senior stakeholders managing pipelines alongside managing relationships with schools, universities, and third-party organisations.  You will be plan and execute the EY assessment centre strategy and have key contribution to monitoring and improving EY assessment and selection methods. You will be involved in planning and running virtual and in person events alongside delivering on internal projects within the team. 

 

Key Skills for Success: 

  • Demonstrates a passion for high volume assessment and selection methods for early talent programmes, continuous improvement, and best practice to deliver the best diverse quality candidates for student programmes at EY
  • Delivers exceptional EY assessment centres, from design to operational delivery. You will look after this as a cross team project as an SME and ensure that these high-volume, high-profile events are executed to a high standard ensuring an exceptional candidate experience 
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and experience of strengths-based assessment methods used at EY 
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Applicant Tracking System used at EY, and shows energy and enthusiasm for keeping abreast of technology and assessment options available in the market  
  • Demonstrates exceptional reporting and data analysis capabilities including threshold and adverse impact analysis
  • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity and inclusion in student recruitment, and assessment and selection practices that reduce bias and adverse impact in process
  • Demonstrates project management capabilities and an ability to prioritise effectively
  • Can evidence experience in multi-layered relationship building and being able to foster strong working partnerships with internal and external teams & suppliers
  • A knowledge and experience of the current student attraction space and Early Identification (work experience) programmes 
  • Demonstrates high competence in event planning and delivery 
  • Experience of working within the virtual event space 
  • Managing stakeholders and candidate expectations through the recruitment process, advising on and applying best practice recruitment process at all times
  • Works with Student Recruitment managers on key aspects of recruitment process, e.g. systems management, reporting, special projects
  • Engaging directly with candidates at various stages in the recruitment process to support specialist queries or directly contribute to a best-in-class candidate experience
  • Complete understanding of an Applicant Tracking System including tracking, processing candidates, search and reporting capability
  • Contributes to the achievement of Student Recruitment hiring targets across all programmes
  • Analytically strong approach to data, adverse impact and pass rate analysis; reporting and procedure

 

Partnering with the Business:

  • Gains knowledge with regard to business strategy and performance and demonstrates some understanding of the key business drivers
  • Is responsive to business needs, demonstrating speed of response through own actions and proactively proposing ideas and solutions
  • Builds a strong internal network for example with Talent Shared Services , Resourcing, Operations, HR and the business to remain abreast of key issues and events and to provide exceptional service and insight to business

 

MI & Reporting

  • Able to produce management/pipeline reports for team and business as required and can identify when data is not accurate or of questionable integrity
  • Uses the recruitment portals effectively so that data is maintained with integrity and updates the recruitment records consistently to ensure accurate reporting of candidate activity at all times
  • Accurately collects and reports on data for specific KPI’s or produces reports for the team and internal stakeholders

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Relevant Student Recruitment experience 
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Confident excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc)
  • Experience in event management and delivery
  • Relationship building skills – with the ability to challenge senior management where necessary, always acting with integrity and enthusiasm
  • A willingness to look beyond the task at hand and consider the broader picture
  • Calm and objective when under pressure
  • Ability to spend up to 40% of your time seasonally travelling/ on campuses

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of core assessment and selection tools
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of either schools or university recruitment (ideally both)
  • Proven track record of executing volume recruitment 
  • An understanding of Early ID programmes
