Mechanical Lead, Major London Landmark Project

Location: Central London

Salary: Up to £120,000 plus industry-leading benefits

A major contractor known for delivering some of London’s most complex and high-profile builds is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Manager to take ownership of the mechanical delivery on a landmark commercial project in Central London.


This nine-figure scheme is already underway and represents one of the capital’s most ambitious mixed-use developments, combining scale, complexity and quality. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead from the front in a technically challenging, fast-paced environment.


This is not a back-office coordination role. You will lead the mechanical strategy and delivery across shell, core and fit-out, from early-stage design resolution through to commissioning and client handover. You will be a senior voice within the delivery team, working closely with the wider services team, project directors, consultants, and top-tier subcontractors.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading mechanical coordination and design resolution across a major commercial development
  • Managing delivery, quality assurance, technical compliance, and programme risk
  • Overseeing commissioning, handover and close-out
  • Acting as the mechanical lead across design workshops, technical reviews and client updates
  • Working closely with construction leads to maintain programme and performance


What You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone with a strong record of managing large-scale mechanical packages on complex new build projects. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience delivering major commercial or mixed-use projects in Central London
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, building services integration and commissioning
  • Confidence leading consultant and subcontractor coordination
  • The ability to drive performance and resolve issues in a fast-paced site environment
  • A clear, assertive communication style with senior-level credibility
