Contract: Fixed-Term (with strong likelihood of extension to permanent)

About the School

An established and well-regarded independent school in Surrey is seeking a passionate and capable Teacher of English to join its vibrant and successful English department from September 2025.

The Role

• Part-Time (0.6 FTE across 4 days/week) – covering a long-term staff absence
• Strong prospect of evolving into a permanent position
• Potential to increase workload (up to full time) for those also qualified to teach History or ICT
• Deliver English lessons across KS3–KS5, shaping a literature-rich, discussion-led curriculum

We’re Looking For

A dynamic, inspiring educator who:

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students aged 11–18
• Is experienced with GCSE and ideally A‑Level teaching, but enthusiasm and commitment are paramount
• Values collaborative departmental practice and holistic student development
• Has the flexibility to expand their role, bringing extra skills in History, ICT, or related areas
