Job description

An exciting opportunity to join a reputable legal 200 UK law firm as an Education Solicitor within a busy Litigation team in Cambridge.

This role offers the chance to develop your expertise advising on a broad range of education law matters, including special educational needs (SEN), school admissions and exclusions, safeguarding, and disputes involving local authorities, schools, and parents.

What the role involves:

• Advising on SEN and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Handling school admissions, exclusions, discrimination and equality cases
• Representing clients at tribunals and judicial reviews
• Managing safeguarding and child protection issues
• Drafting legal documents and liaising with key stakeholders

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), preferably with 3+ years PQE
• Strong knowledge of education law and public law principles
• Experience in tribunal or court representation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
