Job Title: History Teacher
A forward-thinking secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a dynamic Humanities department from September on a temp-to-perm basis (12 weeks).
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3–5, bring historical topics to life, and contribute to a school that values inclusion, high standards, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3–KS5
- Foster a love of learning and historical enquiry
- Monitor and support pupil progress with effective feedback and assessment strategies
- Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider school initiatives
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
- Experience in a secondary school setting is desirable
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) encouraged to apply
