Health & Safety Advisor

Chichester | £40,000 - £60,000 + Package (and accommodation if needed)

Leading Main Contractor | Build Projects £20m–£60m


We’re working with a top-tier construction main contractor renowned for delivering major build projects across the South of England. With schemes typically ranging from £20m to £60m, they are consistently at the forefront of innovation, quality, and safety in the built environment.

As they continue to grow, they’re now looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on-site in Chichester, supporting the safe delivery of a significant new project.


The Role:

You’ll work closely with site and project teams to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements, driving high standards across the board. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a high-performing contractor with strong values and a reputation for looking after their people.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures on-site
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings
  • Support incident investigations and produce H&S reports
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the project


Requirements:

  • Proven experience working for a main contractor (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of construction site practices and regulations
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
  • IOSH membership (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
