Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Kent

Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE (DOE) + £5,000 Welcome Bonus + £3,000 Relocation Package (T&Cs apply)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm

Contract: Permanent | Term-time only (option for full-time, 52-week contract available)

Essential: Full UK driving licence & access to own vehicle

The Role

We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary clinical team. You will support children and young people with a range of complex needs including autism, developmental delays, and social communication difficulties.

Working closely with clinical leaders and school teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy provision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy
  • Support systems-level, preventative interventions with a whole-school approach
  • Deliver expert training, consultation, and guidance to staff and stakeholders
  • Independently manage a clinical caseload
  • Participate in audit, research, and service development activities
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams


About You

You are a skilled and compassionate professional with a passion for inclusive education and evidence-based practice.


Essential Criteria:

  • BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience
  • Strong clinical report writing and case management skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle


Desirable:

  • Experience in special education or ASC/SEMH settings
  • Familiarity with whole-school or systems-level intervention models
