We are looking for someone to join our motivated UK team:
Position: Clinical Specialist and Trainer
Location: National UK
Candidate will be expected to travel across UK as needed to help the existing implant support team. Easy access to motorway and rail network is essential.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Clinical Specialist and Trainer will take a core role in delivering on the clinical strategic objectives for the UK and assist customers and the team with operational support and clinical training. The candidate will be responsible for clinical support/training of medical devices to physicians and healthcare professionals in the UK structural heart hospitals. They will contribute to the implementation of strategies to allow business development and customer growth.
To ensure success as a Clinical Specialist and Trainer, you should possess the ability to create and maintain an extensive clinical network and demonstrate experience as clinical specialist or implanter of cardiac devices in the medical field. You should be ready for challenges as well, learning in a professional growth path in one of the world’s best medical device companies with cutting-edge technology products and culture of innovation. You will act always with deep ethical values for the good of the patient and in respect to the other people. Your work will focus on
- Offering clinical/technical support in the cath labs and operating rooms as well as regular involvement in case planning
- Identifying potential clinical needs or business and traveling to customer/sales force locations
- Liaising with internal departments about product features and sales strategies
- Providing clinical product education and training to physicians, Key Opinion Leaders, and sales force
- Monitoring and promoting customer use of products and optimization of applications to improve performance and customer satisfaction
- Analyzing competitor products and highlighting our unique product features in sales pitches
- Gaining recognition as a product expert
- Supporting the sales team in the pre-sales phase with clinical demos/presentations
- Maintaining existing customer networks and informing customers of upgrades or new product lines
- New product introduction and development
- Contributing to drive educational events, marketing initiatives, sales meetings, and exhibitions
- Creating strategies and meeting KPI's
We are looking for a candidate, who
- Has a university degree (min. Bachelor) preferably degree in life science medical engineering or natural sciences
- and has experience in cardiac medical device support (some commercial an advantage but not essential) in operating rooms with significant clinical background
- has at least 3 years experience in same or similar role
- Is willing to travel extensively (up to 80%) and to be away from home when required and has a valid driver’s license
- Is goal-orientated and has good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Is able to prepare weekly route plans and reports
- Has good communication skills in English
- Knows clinical industry and has experience calling on the Hospital
- Is able to work independently, adapt to changing tasks in a fast and dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks
- Wants to grow personally and professionally and improve sales skills with area responsibilities
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to medical professionals and a proactive attitude
