SEN Functional Skills Tutor
Huddersfield
£23,000 - £30,000
Immediate Start
Qualiteach Yorkshire are currently looking for an outstanding Functional Skills Tutor to support one of our local SEN schools.
The role will be working within a SEN school/college supporting students who have a range of needs including ASC, SEMH and other additional needs which can create a barrier to learning.
You will be required to deliver Maths/English to students on a 1:1 basis and therefore you will need an understanding of functional skills and/or GCSE.
The school itself is easily accessible via car and public transport and has a fantastic reputation.
You will need to be able to quickly build rapport with young children who are often disengaged with education.
What you will need:
- A range of behaviour management techniques
- To have worked with learners with a range of needs
- The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
- To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
- Worked with learners from KS3 – KS5
