Health & Safety Advisor – Construction |Henley on Thames (Hybrid Site/Office Based)

£60,000 – £70,000 (DoE) + Car/Allowance + Benefits + Career Growth

We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a well-run, ambitious & growing Regional Principle Contractor, based near Henley on Thames.


They are looking for someone with strong site-based experience to shape & lead their safety culture.


They deliver high-end Interior Fit & New Build Construction projects within the Motor Sport ( Formula One), Healthcare and Commercial Office sectors .


Clients include Renault F1 Team , Williams F1 Team, Andretti Global & Fujitsu to name just some.


Project values range from £500k up to £25 million & are typically located across Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Hampshire & Surrey,


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure high H&S standards are consistently maintained.
  • Liaise effectively with Principal Designers, Clients, Main Contractors, and Site Teams.
  • Lead pre-start safety meetings and contribute to monthly health & safety reviews.
  • Manage accreditations and pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • Maintain and enhance company H&S policies and training requirements.
  • Investigate and report on incidents/accidents with statistical analysis and Board-level reporting.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practices.


About You:

The person will have worked as a H&S Professional for a Construction/Fit Out Contractor on high end Commercial office New Build Construction and office fit out projects.


Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Valid CSCS Card – essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in UK construction environments as a H&S professional.
  • Experience of working on High End Commercial Office Fit Out and New Build Construction Projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in writing RAMS, auditing, and maintaining H&S policies.
