Job Title: SENDCo

Location: Halifax

Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2025 or January 2026

Are you an experienced SENDCo or aspiring leader passionate about inclusive education? We’re recruiting a dedicated SENDCo to join a thriving specialist school in Halifax, committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As SENDCo, you will play a key role in shaping the school’s SEND strategy and ensuring high-quality provision for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities. Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll lead on EHCP reviews, oversee targeted interventions, and support staff to deliver inclusive teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
• Coordinate EHCP reviews
• Oversee Looked After Children and attend PEP meetings
• Support staff development and advise on effective use of SEND resources
• Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies
• Monitor and improve the quality of SEND teaching and learning

What We’re Looking For:

• Candidates MUST have accredited SENDCo qualifications
• QTS or QTLS
• Experience or strong potential in leadership
• A clear commitment to inclusion and pupil progress
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
