Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Hybrid | Adult Social Care)

Medway, Kent

£30 to 35 per hour

Full-time | 3-Month Contract (with potential extension)

We're currently recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to support adult social care services in Medway. This is a hybrid role with community-based work, remote case management, and one day a week at the council’s office in Gun Wharf when not travelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments and deliver tailored interventions
• Manage a caseload independently across community and remote settings
• Work in line with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and related legislation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to safeguarding efforts
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to outcome-based care planning

Key Details:

• Pay Rate: £30–£35/hr (depending on experience)
• Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid (1 office day/week, when not travelling)
• Location: Medway, Kent + travel within Medway and beyond
• Duration: 3 months (possibility of extension)
• Office Base: Gun Wharf

Requirements:

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (or newly qualified awaiting registration)
• Must be a car driver with business insurance
• Enhanced DBS required
• Experience in adult social care preferred
• Must not have held a permanent role with any of the listed councils in the last 6 months
