Leadership Giving Officer (Development & Alumni Relations Officer)

UK-based | Hybrid | £150–£250/day | Outside IR35

Up to 24-month contract (Temp-to-Perm possible) | Full-time (36.5 hrs/week) or Part-time

We are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven professional to help strengthen a client's global alumni community and grow philanthropic support.

In this role, you will:

• Build and manage a portfolio of prospective donors giving £1–10k+
• Lead the Vice Chancellor’s Giving Circle donor programme
• Secure four- and five-figure philanthropic gifts
• Collaborate with academics, senior leaders, and alumni to cultivate long-term relationships
• Deliver high-impact donor stewardship and recognition activities
• Represent the university at UK and international events

✅ We’re looking for someone who:

• Has fundraising experience OR comes from a target-driven background (sales, marketing, stakeholder engagement, events, etc.)
• Is confident engaging with high-profile stakeholders face-to-face
• Has a track record of meeting ambitious targets
• Communicates with clarity and influence across audiences
• Is highly organised and thrives under pressure
• Holds Welsh language skills at Level B2 (spoken & written)

Desirable:

• Fundraising or project management qualifications
• Higher Education experience
• Knowledge of major gifts fundraising & Raisers Edge CRM
