SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Royston, North Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £22000 - £24500 per annum
Total hours : 37.5 hrs per week.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs—including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism—to achieve their educational and personal goals.
You will work across diverse learning contexts such as the classroom, the local environment, and the wider community, creating opportunities for every learner to thrive. This is a rewarding role where you’ll help foster independence, inclusion, and empowerment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
- Assist young people with complex needs, ensuring they are supported to reach their educational and personal potential.
- Promote equality, diversity, and respect—ensuring every student is valued as a learner.
- Provide high-quality support in line with individual education and care needs.
- Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines when required.
- Develop your understanding of Special Education needs and embody the values of Aurora in daily practice.
