Start date - September until July 2026
Full time position, Monday - Friday
Pay rate - £90 - £115 per day
Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you seeking a rewarding, long-term role where you can make a real difference?
Horizon Teachers is supporting a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Brent to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Reception-aged child who will be new to the school in September 2025.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the full academic year.
The Role:
- Supporting a Reception child with SEN on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day
- Helping them to settle into their new school environment
- Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
- Contributing to learning plans, progress reports, and EHCP reviews
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in an EYFS or KS1 setting
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- An understanding of the importance of consistency and early intervention
- A genuine passion for helping young children thrive
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
