Head of Estates | National Charity | Full-Time | UK-Wide Travel

We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Estates/Property to lead the estates function for a national charity with over 40 registered services and nearly 80 buildings across the UK.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring that all properties are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and aligned with our long-term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the estates function, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.
• Develop and implement a robust property portfolio and maintenance strategy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property and safety regulations.
• Oversee major capital projects including acquisitions, refurbishments, and new developments.
• Manage estates budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, support and develop a skilled and future-ready estates team.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a senior estates, property or facilities role, ideally across a multi-site organisation within health and social care.
• Strong knowledge of property management, compliance, capital project delivery, and contractor management.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on project delivery skills.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Confident managing large budgets and prioritising investment in line with organisational needs.
