SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School, Lambeth

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are looking for a caring, patient and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a range of special educational needs.
• Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
• Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.

About You: We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
• Patient, nurturing and passionate about inclusive education.
• Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children.
• A team player with strong communication skills.
• Flexible, resilient and committed to supporting every child to achieve their best.
