Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

• Key member of the multi-disciplinary neurorehabilitation team.
• Reports to Director of Therapy Services, works closely with the Specialist OT (SOT).
• Focus on delivering holistic, evidence-based OT care to patients with complex neurological conditions.
• Leads activities in the Activities Centre, supporting functional, cognitive, and social rehabilitation.
• Manages 3 staff (2 OT Assistants + 1 Activities Assistant).

Main Duties

• Deliver individualised occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Lead and expand therapeutic and social activities (kitchen skills, sensory, arts, crafts, games, social events).
• Support and supervise OTAs and AA (appraisals, leave, wellbeing, training).
• Provide specialist OT assessment and interventions for neuro patients.
• Contribute to risk assessments, audits, quality improvement, and infection control.

Essential:

• BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration.
